What does limousine service from Onroutz.ca include?
Limousine service from Onroutz.ca means a licensed, commercially insured vehicle with a professional chauffeur, booked in advance at a fixed fare. It covers airport pickups, point-to-point trips, hourly bookings, events and city-to-city drives, using sedans, SUVs, Sprinters and, on request, stretch limousines.
The word "limousine" covers a wide range. In this network it describes the service, not a single vehicle. A first-class sedan for a business traveller, an SUV for a family of five and a Sprinter for a wedding party are all limousine service when a chauffeur drives them to a schedule.
Four city pages sit beneath this hub. Toronto and Niagara Falls are driven by the Onroutz.ca fleet. Chicago and New York City are driven by licensed US partners and booked, confirmed, supported and invoiced by the Toronto desk.
Limousine service by city
Toronto
The Toronto limousine page is the home page of the service: airport pickups at Pearson and Billy Bishop, meetings downtown, hourly bookings and nights out. For suburban pickups, the airport limo hub lists municipalities from Mississauga and Brampton to Durham Region.
Toronto regulates its limousines. The City's vehicles-for-hire bylaw covers taxicabs, limousines and private transportation companies, and owners and drivers of limousines need a City licence (toronto.ca). Ask any operator to confirm theirs.
Niagara Falls
The Niagara Falls page covers the drive from Toronto, about 130 km (80 mi) along the QEW and usually around 1 h 30 in good conditions. Allow more on Friday afternoons and summer weekends. Day-trip travellers can pair it with the Niagara Falls private tour from Toronto. Airport and station pickups are on the route pages Toronto to Niagara Falls and Pearson to Niagara Falls.
Chicago
The Chicago page is for business and leisure arrivals at O'Hare and Midway. The CTA says the Blue Line from O'Hare to downtown normally takes 40 to 45 minutes, runs 24 hours a day and costs $5 or less. The Orange Line from Midway takes 20 to 25 minutes (transitchicago.com). O'Hare is about 27 km (17 mi) from the Loop by road, and rush hour adds time.
New York City
The New York City page covers JFK, LaGuardia and Newark. The city sets a yellow-taxi flat fare of $70 between JFK and Manhattan, plus surcharges and tolls, while LaGuardia trips are metered with a $5 surcharge and Newark trips are metered with a $20 surcharge (nyc.gov). For detail see JFK to Manhattan, LaGuardia to Manhattan and Newark to Manhattan.
When a limousine beats the train or the taxi
Every city above has a good public option. The mode comparison below shows the usual options and where a booked car wins. Public fares are as of 2026.
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express, Pearson to Union Station | 28 min on the train, plus the walk | Published fare | Platform and stairs | One or two travellers, hotel near Union Station |
| CTA Blue Line, O'Hare to the Loop | 40 to 45 min | $5 or less | Stairs and crowds | Light packers going downtown |
| Yellow taxi, JFK to Manhattan | 45 to 75 min typical | $70 flat plus surcharges and tolls | Boot space | Travellers with no booking |
| Metered taxi, LaGuardia | Varies with traffic | Metered plus $5 | Boot space | Short hops from the airport |
| Private limousine | Door to door, no stops | Fixed fare via booker | Sized to your party | 3 or more travellers, heavy bags, children, late landings |
The UP Express figure comes from upexpress.com. The car's edge is not price. It is a driver waiting at arrivals, flight tracking, space for the luggage and a fixed fare you see before you pay.
Vehicles you can choose
The vehicle class depends on the party, not the prestige. Models are "or similar" and confirmed at booking.
- Executive Sedan. Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac or similar. Up to 3 passengers, 2 large bags and 2 cabin bags.
- First Class Sedan. S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar. Up to 3 passengers.
- Luxury SUV. Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, Chevrolet Suburban or similar. Up to 6 passengers and 5 to 6 large bags.
- Executive Sprinter. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Up to 12 passengers and 12 bags.
- Mini-coach and coach. 20 to 56 seats, on request.
- Maybach, Rolls-Royce, stretch limousine and armoured vehicles. On request, with availability confirmed at booking.
Water and phone charging are available in most vehicles. Infant carriers, toddler seats and boosters are available; request them when you book. The fleet page shows each class.
Hourly, airport and event limousine hire
Not every booking is a point-to-point drive. Hourly limousine hire fits a day of meetings, a shopping trip or a tour. The luxury chauffeur page and the executive car service page explain hourly and corporate use. Corporate accounts can use monthly invoicing.
Weddings and special occasions have their own planning path, including the weddings page and the events hub. Stretch limousines and larger vehicles are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking.
Service standards
Chauffeurs and vehicles are licensed and commercially insured. The desk is open 24/7. A chauffeur will not photograph you or mention your trip online, and NDAs can be signed on request. We are a transport service, not a security company: there are no armed drivers or bodyguards, and we work with a client's own security team. Alcohol on board is not promised.
For airport pickups, flight tracking is included. After an international landing, the first 60 minutes of waiting are free, and after a domestic landing the first 30. For other pickups, the free wait is 15 minutes.
Beyond the four cities
The same standards apply to every page in the network. If your trip starts or ends elsewhere, open the destinations hub for the region list, or go to the USA hub, the Canada hub or the Toronto hub. For long drives between cities, the routes hub lists Toronto to Montréal, Ottawa and New York City.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a limousine from Toronto Pearson airport?
Yes. Book in advance and give your flight number. The driver tracks the flight and meets you after landing. For a name board inside arrivals, ask at booking. The Pearson airport page shows terminals and pickup details.
How much is it to hire a limousine for one hour?
The booker shows the fixed all-in fare for your pickup, drop-off, duration and vehicle before you pay. We do not publish an hourly rate, because it depends on the vehicle class, time of day and route. Ask the desk for multi-hour programmes.
Are airport limousines worth the expense?
Often, when several people share a car, when bags are heavy or when the schedule is tight. For a solo traveller with a carry-on and a fast train, the train can be the better choice. Compare your options on the city page before you decide.
How do you pay for an airport limousine?
You see the fixed fare in the booker and pay online when you confirm. Corporate accounts can use monthly invoicing. For trips driven by partners abroad, the Toronto desk still bills you, so you receive one invoice.
How much should I tip a limousine driver?
Tipping customs differ by country. In Canada and the United States a tip is usual but discretionary, while in many other places a service charge may already be included. Your confirmation will explain what applies, and the 24/7 desk can answer questions before the trip.
Does a Toronto limousine need a licence?
Yes. Under the City of Toronto's vehicles-for-hire rules, owners and drivers of limousines need a City licence. Our vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and commercially insured. Partners abroad hold the licences that apply in their own city or country.
Can I book a stretch limousine?
Stretch limousines are available on request, with availability confirmed at booking. Tell the desk the date, number of passengers and route. For groups, a Luxury SUV or an Executive Sprinter may be easier and more comfortable.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours' notice has no charge. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or no-show 100%, counted from the scheduled pickup. A convention or big event may come with a different cancellation window, shown on your confirmation.
