An Oakville limousine service is mostly bought for one reason: the trip to Pearson is long enough to matter and short enough that people underestimate it. Visit Oakville lists the airport at 23 miles (36.7 km). Route planners give anywhere from 26 to 38 minutes. A Friday afternoon on the QEW gives you something else entirely.

How far is Oakville from Pearson, and how long does an airport limo take?

Oakville to Pearson is about 35 to 38 km, 23 miles by the town's own figure. Expect 30 to 40 minutes off-peak and 60 to 90 minutes on weekday rush hours, when the QEW, Highway 403 and Highway 401 slow together. A pre-booked car is timed to the worst case, not the average.

Three public sources agree on the distance within a couple of kilometres: Visit Oakville gives 36.7 km, one route planner 34.9 km and another about 36 km. The disagreement is mostly about where in Oakville you start. A trip from Bronte Village is shorter than one from the north end of the town near Dundas Street.

The time spread is the more useful number. A route planner will tell you 26 minutes. Anyone who has done the drive on a weekday knows that figure belongs to 5 am. The practical rule: if you must be at the terminal by a particular time, subtract the off-peak time and then add about 30 minutes for a weekday morning, or 45 for a Friday afternoon.

The Oakville-to-airport drive, section by section

The route starts on the QEW eastbound, passes the Mississauga boundary near Winston Churchill Boulevard and continues toward the QEW and Highway 427 interchange area, where most airport-bound traffic leaves for Highway 427 north or joins Highway 403 and Highway 401. The exact choice depends on the day.

  • Oakville to the Mississauga line. Usually quick and predictable, with congestion building around Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street in the morning peak.
  • Mississauga stretch. This is where lane drops and merges bunch traffic, and where a collision does the most damage.
  • Final approach. Highway 427 and Highway 401 serve Pearson. If either is closed, the chauffeur switches to the other or to local arterials such as Airport Road.

We pick the route at pickup time, using live conditions. You do not need to give directions, and you do not need to choose between the 407 ETR and the free roads yourself. If a toll road is chosen, our fixed fare already covers the decision.

The UP Express runs from Union Station to Pearson in about 28 minutes and charges an adult one-way fare of $12.35 as of 2026, according to the UP Express fares page. That leg is excellent. The part that costs time is getting to Union from Oakville first, and the connection at Union at either end. GO's Route 40, per the January 2026 timetable, stops at Trafalgar Road at Highway 407 in the Oakville fare zone, and the bus took about 33 minutes from that stop to Pearson Terminal 1 early in the morning and about 43 minutes in the evening peak. See the Metrolinx Route 40 timetable for current times.

When the train or the bus is the sensible option

If your trip is solo, your bag is a carry-on and you were going downtown anyway, GO plus UP Express works and it is a calm way to see the lake. The same is true for a commuter who already rides the Lakeshore West line daily and has a PRESTO card.

The case against it is practical. Lakeshore West trains run through the day, but a connection at Union adds uncertainty, and it all assumes you can carry your own bags up and down stairs. Route 40 is direct to Terminal 1 only and starts from a roadside stop; there is no kerbside help for a suitcase. If you are heading for Terminal 3, you are transferring on the airport's side of things.

When an Oakville limousine service makes more sense

  • Two or more travellers with checked bags. One car and one pickup replace two train tickets, a connection at Union and two sets of suitcases on stairs.
  • Pre-dawn flights. A 5:30 am pickup avoids the first train and the question of whether you can get to the station at all.
  • Business departures. A chauffeur who has your flight and terminal in advance is one fewer variable on a day with meetings at both ends.
  • Families with children. Child, toddler and booster seats are on request when you book.
  • Winter. When a snow squall stops the QEW, a chauffeur adjusts the route; a bus follows its own.
  • Mixed groups. A Luxury SUV carries up to six passengers and five or six large bags; an Executive Sprinter takes up to twelve.

A sample timeline for a 7:30 am international departure from Oakville

This is a template we use with customers, not a promise about any particular day. For a 7:30 am flight from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, a sensible plan looks like this.

  1. 4:10 am Chauffeur at your door, bags loaded.
  2. 4:15 am Depart Oakville on the QEW, which is quiet at this hour.
  3. 4:55 am Arrive at the departures level, about 36.7 km later, with margin.
  4. 5:00 am Check in and bag drop, with 2 hours 30 minutes before departure.
  5. 5:45 am Security and border pre-clearance if you are flying to the United States.

The point of arriving early is not the airport; it is the possibility of a stall on the QEW between 5 and 6 am, which does happen. If we are told the flight time at booking, the pickup time is set against it and confirmed in writing.

Oakville arrivals: from Pearson back to the lake

The route in reverse is the same road, with the odd twist that your arrival time may put you in the westbound afternoon peak. A landing at 4 pm often means an hour or more to Oakville; a landing at 10 pm may mean 30 minutes.

At Pearson the chauffeur works to Door A, the airport's designated pre-arranged pickup door on the arrivals level at both terminals, as described on Pearson's pre-arranged services page. Our flight tracking handles delays. International arrivals get a free wait of 60 minutes after landing, which is generous enough for a slow customs hall. A name board inside arrivals is available on request, with an alias if you prefer privacy.

Which airport from Oakville: Pearson, Billy Bishop, Hamilton or Buffalo?

Most Oakville travellers use Pearson, but the others have a role.

  • Pearson has the widest route network, about 36.7 km away.
  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport suits short-haul business travel; our Billy Bishop page explains the approach.
  • Hamilton International is closer for some northern and western Oakville addresses; see Hamilton airport to Toronto.
  • Buffalo Niagara is 86 miles (138 km) from Oakville by Visit Oakville's measure. Cross-border timing is covered on the Toronto to Buffalo airport page.

Check your own flight schedule before choosing; a longer drive to a more direct flight can be sensible, but only if the border and the return leg fit.

Beyond the airport: Niagara, Union Station and Pearson FBO

A car from Oakville is also useful for Niagara Falls, for downtown hotels via Toronto Union Station and for private-aviation clients using Pearson's FBO. Wine-country days in the Niagara peninsula are a natural fit with the QEW running both ways.

For the neighbouring towns, see Burlington, Milton and Mississauga. All are listed on the airport limo hub, and the regional overview is on the Toronto and GTA page.

The vehicles you can book from Oakville

For an Oakville executive on a solo flight, the First Class Sedan (S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar) is the usual pick, with the Executive Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac or similar) just behind. Both seat up to three. A couple with golf clubs or a family of six should look at the Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, Chevrolet Suburban or similar), which takes five or six large bags. The Executive Sprinter handles twelve people and twelve bags, and coaches from 20 to 56 seats run on request. Rolls-Royce, Maybach, stretch limousines and armoured vehicles can be arranged, with availability confirmed at booking. Classes are "or similar"; water and phone charging come in most vehicles. Details are on the fleet page.

How booking works

Enter the pickup address in Oakville, the airport and terminal, the date and time and the number of travellers. The booker shows a fixed all-in fare for that exact trip. You pay after seeing it, not before. A confirmation follows with the vehicle class, the pickup minute and the desk's contact details.

If your plans might change, read the cancellation terms on the confirmation before the deadline passes; they are counted from the scheduled pickup. Questions go to the 24/7 desk; see also the FAQ and about page.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Oakville from Toronto Pearson Airport?

Visit Oakville lists Pearson at 23 miles (36.7 km). Route planners give 34.9 to 38 km depending on the Oakville starting point. Off-peak that is roughly 30 to 40 minutes. On weekday rush hours, plan on an hour or more, and ask the desk to time the pickup against your flight.

Is there a limousine service in Oakville for the airport?

Yes. Onroutz.ca dispatches Oakville airport trips from Toronto with its own fleet and licensed chauffeurs. You book online, see the fixed fare before paying, and the chauffeur tracks your flight. For arrivals we hold the car for 60 minutes after an international landing.

What is the best way to get from Oakville to Pearson without a car?

For one traveller with light bags, GO Transit is workable: Route 40 stops at Trafalgar Road at Highway 407, or you can take Lakeshore West to Union and the UP Express to the airport. For groups, luggage or an early flight, a private car is more dependable.

Can the chauffeur take me to Buffalo's airport from Oakville?

Yes. Buffalo Niagara International is 86 miles (138 km) from Oakville, and cross-border trips run on the same booking system. Border waiting times vary, so the chauffeur plans around them. Bring valid passports, and check entry rules for every passenger.

How much does an Oakville airport limousine cost?

The fare is fixed and shown in the booker before you commit, built from your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle. Bronte and the north end of town are not the same trip, which is why we quote each address individually instead of printing a flat Oakville figure that would suit only some customers.

Do you provide car seats for children?

Yes. Seats for babies, toddlers and older children are provided when requested at booking. Tell us the number of children and their ages and weights, and the right seat is fitted before the car arrives, so you are not adjusting straps at the kerb in the dark.

What if my flight lands late?

We track every airport pickup. A delayed landing moves the pickup automatically, and the waiting window starts from the actual landing: 60 minutes free after an international arrival, 30 after a domestic one. If you need longer, the chauffeur or the desk will tell you what applies.

Does the chauffeur take the 407 ETR?

Only when it makes sense for the day. The 407 ETR has no toll booths and bills by distance, and its FAQ lists a camera charge of $5.30 per trip for plates without a transponder as of 2026. The route is the chauffeur's decision, and the fixed fare you saw does not change.
